Subject: FREE THE CHILDREN NOW
Petition:
President Omar el Bashir,
In the name of Saint Josephine Bakhita of Sudan, we petition you to
release the children abducted by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) since
1986. FACTS: Thousands of Ugandan children have been kidnapped, taken to Sudan, brutally
abused, beaten and starved to death. They have also been forced to fight the
wars over the borders of Uganda and Sudan. In Sudan, a
civil war has been raging for over twelve years between the Islamic government
in the north and the African Christians and animists in the south.
Two million have been killed, more than in Kosovo, Chechnya, Bosnia,
Somalia, and Rwanda combined, and thousands enslaved. |
